The Consistency Project was created with one simple idea: You don't necessarily need to train more. You need to train smarter – and above all, you need to be able to stay consistent over time.
We know that life doesn't always follow the training plan. Work, family, studies, travel and unexpected events are all part of everyday life. That's why we believe your training should adapt to the life you actually live – not the other way around.
I've personally experienced what many of our customers go through.
For many years, I trained a lot and with purpose, often between 10 and 20 hours per week. Training was an important part of my life, and I had both the motivation and the capacity to prioritize it.
But as the years went by, life changed. More responsibility at work, greater demands and an increasingly busy everyday life started to take their toll. Eventually, I no longer had the energy to train the way I wanted to – or the way I was used to.
And that's when everything started to unravel.
For a period of around two years, my training became a cycle of short bursts of effort. There were periods when I trained well and found a good rhythm again, only to return to periods of little or no training. I tried to make up for lost time, trained hard whenever I had the energy, and then fell back again when everyday life demanded too much.
It was an important experience.
I realized that the problem wasn't a lack of knowledge about training or a lack of motivation. The problem was that my training was no longer adapted to the life I was actually living.
I needed a different approach.
A way of training that took into account work, responsibilities, energy levels and everything else happening around training. A structure that made it possible to maintain consistency even when things didn't go according to plan.
This experience is a big part of why The Consistency Project was created.
We want to help others avoid falling into the same trap – going from training consistently and performing well to losing momentum because their training no longer fits into their life.
We don't believe in quick fixes or training plans that look perfect on paper but don't work in real life.
We believe in consistency.
Our most important principle is:
Missing one training session is completely okay. Life happens. What matters is finding your way back and continuing.
Our goal isn't to make sure you never miss a workout. Our goal is to help you prevent one missed session from becoming one missed week – or one missed month.
We want to help you build sustainable training habits through structure, flexibility and coaching that is adapted to you and your everyday life.
The Consistency Project combines the experience and support of a personal coach with the benefits of modern technology.
With training plans and coaching through TrainingPeaks, you get a clear structure for your training, while your plan can be adjusted based on how you are actually progressing and what is happening in your life.
We use training data and technology to make training smarter, but we never forget the person behind the data.
For us, coaching is about more than watts, heart rate and kilometers. It's about understanding you, your goals and your everyday life – and helping you find a way of training that you can actually sustain.
The Consistency Project is for people who want to pursue triathlon but don't necessarily have the opportunity to live like a full-time athlete.
Whether you're training for your first triathlon, an Ironman, or looking to improve your personal performance, we believe that good training is about finding the right balance between ambition and everyday life.
You don't always need more time.
You need a plan that works with the time you have.
We help you train for the life you have – not the life you wish you had.
Train smart. Stay consistent. Never miss twice.
Welcome to The Consistency Project.
